Reopening Saturday 4th July

We are really looking forward to welcoming you back from tomorrow.

We have survived lockdown through your generosity but we now really need your custom. I think lockdown has shown us all the value of music spaces and independent businesses and how we miss them if they are not there. We recieved no Government support through lockdown and we are still really on the brink. Opening with reduced capacity and hours is not the answer to all our problems, but let’s see where it takes us.

Maybe have a little think about where you would like your money to go. Shareholders & millionaire directors or ordinary hard working people trying to feed their familes and who just love music? We didn’t hang our staff out to dry remember….

We will not be doing Happy Hour for the moment for that reason. I really hope you understand and will still support us.

Please note for the forseeable future our hours and capacity are reduced considerably. We will be open on Saturday 11am-midnight and on Sunday midday to midnight, assuming all goes well.

We are not allowed entertainment per se for a while, but we will still have the best music in town and will be showing football from BT Sport, Pick & The BBC. So come early.

Please be aware that things are going to be a little different for a while. Things are just as new to us as they are to you, so please bear with us while we all adjust.

All the rules that are put in place are there to keep both you and us safe, and are put in place by the government, so please help us by adhering to these new rules that are:-

1. Only visit if you feel well

2. On arrival you will be asked to use the hand sanitiser provided

3. We are a seated venue only. There is no standing at all and all service will be done at the table. There are a maximum of six people per table. Please do not move furniture around without permission. It is set up to keep distancing.

4. Observe the signage around the bar. For example there is now a one way system for the loos, which for the moment will be unisex with limits on the number of people alllowed in at any one time.

5. The Government insist we take your details for the NHS test & trace scheme. We will only keep this for 21 days as instructed. I’m afraid you will have to bring your ID for the scanner as you would normally.

6. There is an enhanced cleaning schedule in place. We have dedicated staff cleaning all touch points regularly.

7. There may be short queues to get you seated. Please be patient and respect our staff, who are working under totally alien conditions. If long queues form we may ask you to try again later.

8. We will be open on both floors and have increased seating outside but our capacity is greatly reduced. Arrive early to avoid disappointment, as once seating is full we cannot allow entry to anyone. Even if you’re my best mate or donated a £1000 to the crowdfunder! Be aware that if you are sat outside but want to move inside, but we are full, we will not be able to do that. After Saturday we think demand will settle down a little so maybe consider coming a little later in the week.

9. Respect the social distancing guidelines and be kind to each other.

10. Please respect our neighbours and keep noise outside down.

Whilst i hate the phrase, all of these rules are ‘fluid’. After the weekend we will look at what worked and what didn’t and adjust as appropraite.
